Future, now!
THE PERFORMANCES OF TOMORROW (WT)
What if…? On stage, this question becomes reality for a time. Theater is a laboratory of the future, a space of possibilities. Utopian visions meet dystopian scenarios: bold visions of the future stand in contrast to gloomy predictions, ironic twists and turns are juxtaposed with radical warnings. Here, societal hopes and fears condense into visions of solidarity, progress, and redemption, but also images of destruction, social fractures, and downfall. Discover new perspectives on tomorrow through historical theater events and works by contemporary artists.

In cooperation with the Dortmund Academy for Theater and Digitality.
A central role is played by the Future Lab, which is being developed in cooperation with the Academy for Theatre and Digitality in Dortmund. Here, artistic, technological, and societal questions about the future are explored in practice—from AI-supported stage concepts to immersive experiential spaces.
Analog and digital elements, discussion spaces and playful experiments make the audience an active part of a shared vision of the future.
Theater as a space for possibilities: What visions of tomorrow do we carry within us – and what can we make real?
